In this IGTV series, you get to hear five colleagues at Cure share their best recommendations for summer; the perfect outdoor game to bring to the park, a beautiful summer spot in Stockholm, and why you should take a moment to realise things – just like Kylie Jenner.
Julia Arheden – about realising things
Since my plans for the obviously got canceled, I will try to do what Kylie Jenner did in 2016 – realizing things. I figured, since Kylie is a powerful and successful businesswoman with Kylie Skins and Kylie Cosmetics, and also a really powerful influencer, her advice is probably good. So, in order to realise things, I will try to spend more time with people who have a different perspective than I have, in order to gain insights and inspiration for the upcoming fall. One of those people is my beautiful and beloved sister Anna. She’s working within healthcare and she has such a drive and passion for what she does and for her job – something that truly inspires me.
And one thing that I can hopefully make you guys realise this summer is to wear a lot of sunscreen, re-apply every other hour and stay in the shade as much as possible.
Sam Foroozesh – about personal development
Summertime for me is a great time to reflect and actually a lot of my best decisions have evolved during the summers. But how, then? I try to live here and now and really be in the moment; take it easy, relax and just enjoy the day.
One more thing I’m trying to do is to read. I’m not the best or most frequent reader, but maybe you are? However, reading has really helped me develop ideas – and actually also feelings. I think that a lot of the stuff I do is based on my feelings and ideas that have come to me during summertime. So, that’s my best tip for you this summer that we are facing now.
Finally, I would like to thank my team, all of our partners, including our clients, influencers, and all the people around us for a great half-year.
Frida Ekholm – about the perfect outdoor activity
As all of you know, a lot of things have happened this year – but luckily, there are more positive things to come. For example, Facebook has launched a ton of new features to help businesses all around the world reach new customers and stay connected to the people they serve; for example Instagram Shops, Facebook Shops, Instagram Live Shopping (with a lot more to come in 2020), so keep your eyes open!
My personal advice for you is to check out the outdoor game “Spikeball”. It’s a net game inspired by volleyball and it’s perfect to bring to the beach, park och to play in your garden with your friends and family. Have fun!
Alexander Bäcklin – about a beautiful summer spot
This summer will be a bit different compared to previous years, since we’re not able to travel in the same way many of us use to do. Therefore my tip for the summer is to really see this as an opportunity to explore the city that you live in. Here in Stockholm for example, we have a great place called Fjäderholmarna, just 20 minutes away by boat. You can spend a sunny day by the water, maybe have a picnic with your friends, listen to a podcast or read a book – really enjoy the summer, just the way you like it.
Sanna Persson – about writing your own story
At the beginning of this year, I remember saying to myself: “this year is going to be the best year so far!” – and I don’t think I was the only one having really high hopes for 2020. I can probably speak for all of us also when I say that this year has been quite a rollercoaster ride – just as we thought we’d hit the peak, another thing came along and changed the world as we know it.
What I’ll do this summer, and what my recommendation to you is as well, is to take a step back and reflect on what has happened – even though it’s been a tough and challenging time, ask yourself what you’ve learned this spring – about your buyers, about your industry, and maybe most important; about yourself?
Imagine that you’re currently writing the book about 2020 – half of the pages are already filled with content, but what do you want to read about when this year is over? Use your learnings to make the rest of the year YOUR year, and write a story that you can look back at and be proud of.
My other recommendation is to go buy a pair of trekking boots! Explore your surroundings and turn yourself into a real wildlife junkie – according to me, nature is the best place for reflections.
From all of us at Cure Media, to all of you – have a great summer!
